Michael Ian Black is a celebrity (very famous). He started his career with the sketch comedy troupe The State, which had a successful television show on MTV. From there, he co-created the shows "Viva Variety," "Stella," and "Michael and Michael Have Issues." He is the author of several books for children, screenplays, and the essay collection "My Custom Van (and 50 Other Mind-Blowing Essays That Will Blow Your Mind All Over Face." His latest book, "You're Not Doing It Right," will be released in 2011. He is also a stand-up comedian. His first stand-up comedy special, entitled "Very Famous," will be seen on Comedy Central later this year.
